Patuxai Gate
The Patuxai Gate, or Zai Gate, in Vientiane, Lao PDR, was built between 1957 and 1968 as a memorial to the Lao soldiers who died in World War II and the salvage of independence from France, with an architecture combining Lao and French art, and was used by the United States to build an airport for construction, so it was nicknamed "Vertical Runway."
Above, there is a viewing tower overlooking the view of Metropolitan Vientiane, and inside the building is a photo exhibition showing its history.
Tourists pay admission. 😊
