Journal Entry: Finally getting back to me

🤍 I’m finally getting back to me. Finally back to loving myself. Finally Back into fashion. Finally back into posting it.

Gaining weight after being so small from modeling has been an experience. From anorexia, body dysmorphia and depression. There’s just been a roller coaster of negative experiences all adding to weight gain.

Although I am working on it . I’m finally at the stage of celebrating myself through the process.

So cheers to Christ for the motivation & encouragement on the days it was absent. I’ve arrived to the mindset of celebrating small wins .

... Read moreIt's truly a journey to get back to yourself, especially after navigating the challenging waters of body dysmorphia, anorexia, and depression. My original post touched on finally getting back into fashion and posting, but let’s dive a little deeper into what that actually means on a day-to-day basis and how it intertwines with being a digital creator. For so long, fashion felt like a battleground. When your body is changing and your perception of it is distorted, getting dressed can feel like the hardest part of the day. But for me now, fashion has become an act of self-care and empowerment. It’s no longer about fitting into a certain size or chasing an unrealistic ideal. It’s about choosing pieces that make me feel comfortable, confident, and authentically me. I've found so much joy in rediscovering my style, whether it’s a perfectly worn-in pair of Levis jeans that make me feel grounded, or a flowy dress that celebrates my body as it is today. My advice to anyone struggling with body image and style is to focus on textures, colors, and cuts that make you feel good, rather than what’s ‘trending’ or what you ‘should’ wear. This shift changed everything for me. Being a digital creator while going through such a personal transformation adds another layer of complexity, but also incredible opportunity. There’s a constant pressure to present a flawless image online, but I’ve learned that my most powerful content comes from my authentic self. Sharing this raw and vulnerable journal entry – and continuing to share my journey – isn't always easy. There are days when self-doubt creeps in, but the connection I feel with you all, and the messages of solidarity, make it all worthwhile. It’s about creating a space where we can all be real, celebrate our imperfections, and grow together. If you're a fellow creator, don't be afraid to show your true self; your authenticity is your superpower. That daily practice of celebrating small wins? It’s truly the backbone of my recovery. Some days, a ‘win’ is simply being gentle with myself, or choosing to look at a mirror with kindness rather than criticism. Other days, it’s putting together an outfit that makes me smile, or successfully navigating a social event without succumbing to old patterns. These aren't grand gestures, but they are crucial steps forward. I keep a little notebook where I jot down these moments, and looking back helps me see the progress, even when I feel stuck. This continuous journey of self-love is ongoing, and embracing each small victory keeps the momentum going. What small win are you celebrating today?
