Things that helped me glow up post partum

Getting your pink back is really hard and it doesn’t happen without putting in the effort.

Here’s what’s worked for me:

🎨 Color analysis: I did mine with chatgbt. I definitely think it’s worth it. My under eye circles are less noticeable and I have more of a glow when I’m in my color palette. Transitioning to a capsule wardrobe has also made putting outfits together easier.

🏋🏼‍♀️ Consistent workout routine: I lift 4 days a week and do Pilates 1 day. This split works for me. I’ve had great results because I’ve been able to stay consistent with it without burning myself out. Which is super important when you have a little one and are exhausted most days.

🫧 Skincare routine: Find a basic skin care routine and stick to it. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive or fancy. Some brands I love are tower 28, honest and cocokind.

⚽️ Find hobbies to keep you active: I love going on walks with my baby and doing pickleball with my husband. Finding hobbies you enjoy that also keep you moving is super helpful.

🥗 Eating well instead of dieting: Tracking macros is effective, but it was stressing me out post partum. Instead, I focus on building meals I enjoy with whole food ingredients. I try to build all my meals and snacks around protein.

💄 Basic makeup routine: Doesn’t have to be anything fancy. A few products that make you feel good and are quick and easy to apply. I also love the skincare / makeup trend for new moms.

🩷 Prioritizing hormones: Artifical fragrances are so bad for your hormones and they’re not great for babies either. We ditched all of them in our home and personal care products and haven’t looked back.

👱‍♀️ Hair care: I used to be a bleach fried hair kind of girl but not anymore 😂 I choose partial highlights over full highlights to limit my hair damage and prioritize my hair care. I’ve also found so many great heatless hairstyles that are perfect for moms.

What things helped you glow up the most post partum??

... Read morePostpartum glow up is a transformative journey that involves nurturing both your body and mind. One powerful tool is color analysis, which helps you identify the best color palette suited to your complexion. This can reduce the appearance of under-eye circles and enhance your natural glow, boosting confidence while simplifying outfit selection through a capsule wardrobe approach. Consistency in physical activity plays a critical role in postpartum recovery and glowing health. Engaging in weight lifting four times per week complemented by Pilates offers strength, flexibility, and endurance without risking burnout—a crucial balance for sleep-deprived new mothers. Moreover, integrating enjoyable hobbies such as daily walks with your baby or playing pickleball with a partner not only increases your activity levels but also nurtures mental well-being. A minimalist but effective skincare routine focusing on gentle, reputable brands like Tower 28, Honest, and Cocokind supports skin health and hydration without overwhelming. Prioritizing hormone health by eliminating artificial fragrances at home reduces potential endocrine disruptors, benefiting both mom and baby. Nutrition is another cornerstone, shifting the focus from restrictive dieting or stressful macro tracking to building balanced meals centered around whole foods and adequate protein intake, which fuels recovery and vitality. On beauty, keeping makeup simple, quick, and nourishing—following the popular skincare/makeup hybrids for new moms—adds to the glow without added time or complexity. Hair care also transitions thoughtfully by embracing partial highlights and heatless hairstyles, minimizing damage while maintaining style. Incorporating these strategies holistically fosters sustainable postpartum glow ups grounded in self-care, wellness, and authenticity, inviting new mothers to reclaim their vibrant selves while managing the demanding realities of motherhood.
