... Read moreHey fellow adventurers! After countless hours of planning and an incredible trip, I'm bursting to share even more practical tips to make your Canada journey absolutely seamless. Beyond the stunning sights, a well-packed bag and a clever itinerary can make all the difference. When I started mapping out my Canadian adventure, I poured over details for each province and territory, and let me tell you, there’s so much more to discover! In Quebec, beyond the charming Old Quebec and Notre-Dame Basilica, I found the majestic Montmorency Falls and the serene Saint Joseph's Oratory to be truly inspiring. Heading into Ontario, specifically Toronto, I made sure to visit the Royal Ontario Museum and the CN Tower, but don't miss the artistic treasures at the Art Gallery of Ontario. A day trip to the awe-inspiring Niagara Falls and exploring the beautiful Thousand Islands Lake were also highlights! For those venturing west, Alberta's natural beauty is unparalleled. While Calgary is a vibrant city, the true magic lies in the national parks. Banff’s Lake Louise and Moraine Lake are iconic, but consider adding Johnston Canyon for a stunning hike, and definitely explore Jasper National Park with its majestic Athabasca Falls and Maligne Canyon. And over in British Columbia, after soaking in Vancouver’s Stanley Park, a walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park offers an exhilarating experience. Victoria also charmed me with its Butchart Gardens and Parliament Buildings. Don't forget Canada's Atlantic Provinces! Nova Scotia captivated me with Peggy's Cove and the scenic Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Prince Edward Island’s Green Gables House is a must-see for literary fans, and New Brunswick’s Fundy National Park and Hopewell Rocks are geological wonders. For the truly adventurous, the Northern Territories offer a unique experience; Yellowknife is renowned for its incredible Aurora Village, and exploring Dawson City in Yukon feels like stepping back in time. These diverse regions truly offer something for every traveler! And speaking of planning, let me tell you, a good packing list is your best friend! My 'must-haves' included a reliable power bank (essential for all those photos and navigation!), my passport (obviously, don't leave home without it!), and surprisingly, comfortable slippers for hotel rooms – a small comfort that makes a big difference. Disposable underwear was a game-changer for long travel days, and an international credit card is crucial for hassle-free transactions. Don't forget good skincare, as Canadian weather can be quite diverse and sometimes challenging for your skin, along with sunglasses and a compact umbrella for unpredictable showers or bright days. Before I even stepped out the door, I went through a comprehensive checklist. This included ensuring all my essential documents were easily accessible, packing daily necessities thoughtfully, organizing my electronic products, and having a small kit of essential medicines. Crucially, just before leaving, I confirmed all my bookings, notified my bank about my travel plans to avoid any card issues, and shared my itinerary with a trusted friend or family member. These small steps truly minimize stress and let you focus on enjoying every moment of your Canadian adventure!

Just completely skipped Saskatchewan- but we've got cool places too like Cypress Hills, Manitou Beach (SK's dead sea), and the underground tunnels in Moose Jaw. Check out a live local show in Saskatoon or Regina -- we have a great music scene: metal, folk, jazz, hip hop, anything goes. And same idea with the food: Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, East Indian, Ukranian, Ethiopian, Belizean, Greek, Italian, and so on. I've also been told we're some of the friendliest folks in the world. Strike us a conversation at any pub and get to know us. ❤️
