Ive been getting a lot of requests for wedding dresses recently. Honestly, I want nothing more than to fulfill each of those requests. Unfortunately, I cannot physically do it. My neurodivergent brain simply refuses to be bossed around 🫠. So making the same piece twice is incredibly difficult for me. Each piece I create has its own purpose and its own unique meaning. With each piece I make I push myself a little further out of my comfort zone. I usually start with “I have no idea wtf im doing” and eventually land on “this is the most amazing thing ive ever made” by the end of the project. Trust me I want nothing more than to make yall some beautiful dresses for your special day(s)😩 I just physically cannot and it breaks my heart a lil bit 🥲🥺. My work is my own form of art, and each piece is incredibly special, holding a piece of my soul in every stitch. 🫶🏻
Creating one-of-a-kind items, especially wedding dresses, involves not only skill but deep personal commitment and emotional energy. This approach allows artists to infuse each creation with their unique vision and soul, making every piece a personal work of art rather than a mass-produced product. For neurodivergent creators, like the author, the process is even more intricate. Their brains may resist repetitive tasks, making it challenging to reproduce the same design twice. Instead, they thrive on pushing boundaries and exploring new ideas, leading to dresses that evolve naturally from uncertainty to triumph. When artists say, “This is why I only make one of a kind items,” it reflects their dedication to originality and authenticity. Each piece is a journey that starts with vulnerability — from not knowing exactly how to proceed — and ends with a profound sense of accomplishment and personal pride. In the context of wedding dresses, this means that brides receive garments that are not only beautiful but also deeply meaningful, tailored uniquely to the creator’s artistic expression. The creative process involves navigating comfort zones and embracing uncertainty, which can be both challenging and rewarding. For customers, understanding this process helps foster appreciation for the uniqueness and emotional investment embedded in the dress. Rather than viewing these pieces as mere clothing, they can be cherished as wearable art, embodying the artist’s journey and soul. Ultimately, one-of-a-kind creations highlight the importance of individuality in fashion and craftsmanship. They challenge the fast-fashion mindset by offering something truly special — garments that cannot be replicated, ensuring each bride feels extraordinary on her special day. This dedication to uniqueness enriches the wedding experience and celebrates the beauty of neurodivergent perspectives in creative fields.

It's honestly great to hear that you have boundaries and know your limits. Stick to them and don't ever let anyone push you to do something that you don't want to do or feel uncomfortable doing. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
