🍓 Strawberry Season — Part 2: Strawberry Crisp w/Brown Sugar Oat Topping

Strawberry Filling:

1. lbs fresh strawberries, sliced

2. 1/3 cup granulated sugar

3. 1 tbsp brown sugar

4. 1 tbsp lemon juice

5. 1 tbsp cornstarch

6. 1 tsp vanilla extract

Brown Sugar Oat Topping:

1. 1 cup old-fashioned oats

2. 3/4 cup flour

3. 1/2 cup brown sugar

4. 1/2 tsp cinnamon

5. Pinch of salt

5. 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Toss strawberries with sugars, lemon juice, cornstarch, and vanilla.

3. Pour into a buttered baking dish.

4. Mix oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.

5. Sprinkle topping over strawberries.

6. Bake 35–40 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. This is the kind of dessert that makes people suddenly “just want a small bite” and then destroy the pan. 😉😋
