Soft Gardening Days in My Granny Era
🌱I’m deep in my granny era and honestly… it’s healing me. Morning light, hands in soil, sun tea steeping while I check for new blooms. This is where I feel most like myself. I don’t garden for perfection, I garden for peace.
🪴Gardening has lowered my stress, helped my anxiety, and reminded me how beautiful slow progress can be. I move slower now, but more intentionally. And every flower that opens feels like a quiet victory.
⛲️I grow things slowly, organically, just like I’m learning to grow myself.
🏡If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or burnt out, start where you are. A pot on a windowsill, a little sprout, even just time outside can change your whole mood.
👩🏾🌾Do you feel like you’re in your granny era too? What’s your favorite slow-living habit lately?

Gardening not only serves as a therapeutic escape but also allows us to connect with nature, enhancing our mental well-being. Engaging in gardening activities promotes mindfulness and provides a sense of accomplishment with each new sprout. Many recent studies show that spending time in green spaces can significantly lower stress levels, improve mood, and even foster resilience against anxiety disorders. As we dig our hands into the soil, we tap into ancient practices that emphasize patience and slow growth, mirroring our own personal development. For those beginning their gardening journey, consider starting small. A few indoor plants can brighten up your space and provide the joys of nurturing life. Perhaps even visiting a local farmer's market can inspire your organic gardening efforts, allowing you to learn more about seasonal plants and sustainable practices. Embrace your granny era by nurturing not just plants, but also your mental health through the simple act of planting and caring for your green spaces. The calming routine of tending to a garden is not only beneficial for our environment but also for our souls.

Love this. I wish I could keep a plant alive 😂 Maybe when my kids are grown and I have more time.
