Mornings in my jungle bathroom🌿
This is my favorite part of the day. Just me, my plants, and a few quiet minutes before the world wakes up. I water whoever’s thirsty, open the windows for some fresh air, and take my supplements with a cup of tea.
It’s not fancy, but it’s mine. And it makes all the difference.
If you’re building a slow morning routine, let it be filled with greens, light, and soft rituals 🌞🛁🪴

Good morning plant friends! So many of you have asked about how I created my indoor rainforest bathroom, and I'm thrilled to share some tips that helped me transform it into my little sanctuary. It's truly become a cornerstone of my slow morning routine and provides such calm vibes. First, let's talk about plants. Choosing the right ones is absolutely crucial for a successful indoor rainforest vibe, especially in a bathroom. I've found that humidity-loving plants thrive in this environment. Think about varieties like ferns – Boston Ferns, Maidenhair Ferns, or even a Staghorn Fern mounted on the wall can look amazing! They just soak up all that shower steam. Pothos are another fantastic choice because they're super forgiving and their trailing vines create that lush, overgrown jungle feel. Philodendrons, ZZ plants, and Snake Plants are also excellent options for lower light conditions often found in bathrooms, and they're relatively low maintenance. If you have a brighter bathroom, consider a Peace Lily for its beautiful blooms and air-purifying qualities. Always check if a plant is pet-safe if you have furry friends who might sneak into your bathroom! Creating the 'rainforest' feel isn't just about the plants; it's about the entire ambiance. I try to incorporate natural elements like a teak shower caddy, woven baskets for storage, and soft, natural fiber towels. The right lighting can make a huge difference too. If you have natural light, maximize it! Clean windows and sheer curtains (or no curtains if privacy allows) help bring the outside in. For artificial lighting, warmer tones and dimmable fixtures can create a cozy, spa-like atmosphere in the evenings. Using a humidifier can also boost the humidity, making your plants (and your skin!) happier. Caring for your plants in a high-humidity environment does have its own considerations. While the air is moist, your plants still need proper watering at their roots. I always check the soil moisture before watering to avoid overwatering, which is a common plant killer. Good drainage is non-negotiable – always use pots with drainage holes and saucers to protect your surfaces from water damage. Don't forget to fertilize your plants during their growing seasons, usually spring and summer, with a diluted liquid plant food. Air circulation is also important to prevent fungal issues, so opening a window for a little while after your shower can be beneficial. It's amazing how much joy these greens bring every morning. If you're on #Planttok, you already know the magic of being surrounded by your green babies!
