How to finish again? Survive 101
Many people ask,
If you didn't get into big law firms in the first place, would you be at a disadvantage?
I used to say the springboard in my life was a law firm.
But I have to admit, before that, I was based on the stock exchange.
And LL.M. Securities Law from Georgetown.
Money-market laws, capital markets are not difficult because of the role.
But it's hard because "Read and don't see the picture."
If never practiced
Will not understand that the principle behind the law is
Economics, finance, accounting.
Everything has its logic.
So if you want to be good at this,
"First job" doesn't have to be a law firm.
Start with the regulators.
Listed company
Securities company
Or stakeholders in the capital markets system.
Well, it's a great field.
What should not be done is
Finish and sit and read the exam book.
Or continue to study only without work experience
Sometimes the more high school
It's even harder to find a job because the organization is afraid of going to the court, the prosecutor.
Pre-school knowledge is not late because some organizations accept people with a degree if they have experience because they work.
The simple truth is,
"Experience" always prevails because real-world laws such as PDPA, money laundering, important business laws in the world are not just four corners of the city.
The first job doesn't have to be perfect.
But I have to get on the field.
Don't wait as ready as possible before you start.
Because the readiness really stems from the start.

จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว ผมเคยเจอหลายคนที่จบกฎหมายใหม่ ๆ และกังวลว่าจะเสียเปรียบถ้าไม่ได้เริ่มงานกับ law firm ใหญ่ ๆ แต่จริง ๆ แล้ว การสร้างประสบการณ์ในสายตลาดทุนหรือหน่วยงานกำกับดูแล เช่น สำนักงานคณะกรรมการกำกับหลักทรัพย์และตลาดหลักทรัพย์ (ก.ล.ต.) หรือบริษัทจดทะเบียน ถือเป็นโอกาสดีมากในการเรียนรู้และทำความเข้าใจกฎหมายลึกซึ้งกว่าการอ่านหนังสือสอบอย่างเดียว กฎหมายตลาดทุนมักดูเหมือนไม่ยากเพราะตัวบทชัดเจน แต่ความท้าทายคือการเชื่อมโยงกับการเงิน เศรษฐศาสตร์ และบัญชี ซึ่งถ้าไม่เคยลงมือปฏิบัติจริง จะไม่เข้าใจตรรกะเบื้องหลังและการใช้งานจริง เช่น กฎหมาย PDPA หรือกฎหมายฟอกเงิน ที่ซับซ้อนและเกี่ยวข้องกับธุรกิจจริงๆ สำหรับใครที่จบใหม่ ผมแนะนำว่าไม่ต้องรีบร้อนเรียนต่อสูงโดยยังไม่มีประสบการณ์ เพราะบางครั้งการมีใบปริญญามากเกินไปกลับทำให้หางานยากขึ้น เนื่องจากองค์กรกลัวว่าผู้สมัครอาจมีความตั้งใจไปสอบศาลหรืออัยการ แต่ถ้ามีประสบการณ์ทำงานในสายนี้ก่อน จะได้รับการยอมรับมากกว่าและใช้งานได้จริง การเลือกงานแรกไม่ต้องสมบูรณ์แบบ สำคัญที่สุดคือลงสนามจริง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นตำแหน่งในฝ่าย Compliance หรือหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อเรียนรู้การประยุกต์ใช้กฎหมายในสถานการณ์จริง และค่อยๆ สร้างความเชี่ยวชาญไปเรื่อย ๆ สุดท้าย อย่ารอให้พร้อมที่สุดจึงเริ่มต้น เพราะความพร้อมเกิดจากการได้ทำงานจริง และการพัฒนาทักษะผ่านการลงมือทำจริงจึงเป็นกุญแจสำคัญสำหรับการเป็นนักกฎหมายที่ประสบความสำเร็จในตลาดทุนและระบบกฎหมายกำกับดูแล
