Batman Ninja vs Yakuza League is my Favorite Movie

It’s an underrated fav of mine that came out this year! On my birthday, in fact, but that doesn’t give it any bonus points.

This Japanese studio’s work on Batman got off to a rocky start with the first movie (which I also love), but they really knocked it out with the sequel. They got the whole Justice League decked out in Yakuza flair, the animation is absolutely gorgeous in 3 different ways, and it’s just good old-fashioned silly but not too unserious Batman (my favorite kind). Watch on HBOMAX now Batman fans!
