Why I never do lash extensions
From my experience, lash extensions may seem like a quick fix for fuller lashes, but they come with several downsides that made me steer clear. One of the biggest issues is the potential damage to your natural lashes. The adhesive used in extensions can weaken lashes over time, causing them to break or fall out prematurely. Additionally, the application process itself can be uncomfortable. The lashes are glued individually to each natural lash, requiring skill and patience, which not everyone has. Poorly applied extensions may look unnatural or cause irritation to the eyes and eyelids. Another factor influencing my decision is maintenance. Lash extensions require regular fills every few weeks to keep them looking fresh, which can be time-consuming and costly. Instead, I've found that using lash serums and natural remedies like castor oil can help promote lash growth and strength safely. These methods foster healthier lashes without risking damage. In summary, while lash extensions are popular for their instant glamorous look, considering the risks and upkeep involved helped me choose a more natural beauty routine that feels right for me.
