Why does healing still feel so lonely?

3/26 Edited to

... Read moreHealing is a deeply personal journey that often comes with unexpected feelings of loneliness and isolation. When you decide to set boundaries to protect your mental and emotional well-being, it's common to lose connections with people who no longer support your growth. This shift can feel like you're walking the path alone, but it’s a vital step toward true healing. From my experience, setting clear boundaries can initially cause discomfort—not just for you, but also for those around you. People who were once close may react negatively or distance themselves because they are uncomfortable with the changes. While this can be painful, it’s essential to remember that losing toxic relationships is not a loss but rather a gain in your journey toward self-love and healthier connections. Loneliness in healing signals you are creating space to nurture yourself. It’s a time for reflection, shadow work, and unfiltered honesty about your needs and feelings. These moments, though challenging, build resilience and clarity about what you deserve in relationships. To ease the loneliness, try connecting with supportive communities or like-minded individuals who understand healing and growth. Journaling your thoughts can also help process emotions and reinforce your commitment to boundaries. Remember, healing is not linear, and feeling lonely at times is a natural part of shedding old patterns and emerging stronger. Ultimately, embracing the solitude during healing allows you to rediscover your authentic self and prepare for healthier, more fulfilling relationships in the future.
