A Peek Inside My Witch Altar
Honestly you learn to use what you got collect as you go kinda deal.
Here’s my altar inside my plant room I am a green witch and I typically practice herbal magic I dip a bit on the kitchen witch side as well. I enjoy cooking and making teas with my fresh herbs spells etc.
I do pretty routine spell work in my plant room because it’s mainly to harvest the energy around me in that particular area cause it’s so strong so I stay where I’m comfortable with my lavender rosemary mugwort chamomile my varieties of salts ashes incense sage and maybe some palo santo here and there. But I kinda stay in that bubble cause I have access to those things fresh in the very area I’m practicing in. I grow MOST of these herbs my self. Obviously not all I don’t know how to grow salt or mugwort 😂😂 but you get the gist.
I’ll do a crystal list off all the ones I have next. It’ll take a while I’m sure.
I’ll even do my main altar in my bedroom one day just gotta clean it down and clear anything I got working cause it’s always busy and I like to keep it very private.

Crystals are a must-have for any witch, and you can see my growing collection in bowls and my wooden crystal chest – each one chosen for its unique energy, from amethyst for calm to clear quartz for amplification. Spell candles, especially green ones, are perfect for intention setting, drawing in prosperity and growth, aligning beautifully with the green witch aesthetic. I also keep bottles of elemental waters, like storm water for powerful emotional release and moon water for intuition and psychic work, ready for cleansing or charging. These natural elements really amplify my practice. When you're setting up your own green witch altar, remember there are no strict rules. Think about what brings you joy and what connects you to the earth. You can use a multi-tiered cart like mine, or even just a small shelf or windowsill. Incorporate items that hold sentimental value, like a special green rose, or found objects from nature – a beautiful stone, a feather, a dried flower. Don't forget your divination tools; my tarot and oracle card decks are always close at hand, ready to offer guidance.
