I remember listening to this song shortly after finding my first live in boyfriend hanging from our loft apartment!
I remember vividly cutting him down. I remember messaging @monicadenise about wanting to escape the feeling of helplessness!
I remember being 19 years old and feeling like my life was over because he took his own!
I remember not feeling enough because he left!
I remember pleading for a purpose and reason not to take my own life. The pain of giving him mouth to mouth and not succeeding at bringing him back was unbearable!!!
See the point is I remember VIVIDLY!!! But god had other plans for my story and life . As I stood on the stage of @pmuwomenofcolorconference and poured into the lives of so many, I was taken by the thought of “what if I thought back then I wasn’t enough and took my own life too, then I wouldn’t be touching the lives of so many now”!!! My purpose is clear, my drive is documented and seen.
