Due to unforeseen events (part 1)

I had planned to do posts each day this multiple sclerosis month for my efforts in educating others about MS. Yet, due to the behavior of my MS I was unable to meet my daily goal. Not surprised at all! So, with only a few days left I am proving the educational slides/memes in bulk.

Sadly, I experience all of these symptoms. Most days I experience them all. It’s okay, I am carrying this burden and I do not want pity. I would like to have the energy to put makeup on as many of you do everyday and go out into the world to conquer your goals.

So, maybe a few of the beautiful ladies on #Lemon8 can send me a drop of your energy. Since every woman on this app is beautiful and talented I am certain that one drop of energy from each of you could power me up enough to do my makeup. You have no idea how much I miss it.

It’s my hope for each of you that you are never to tired in your life to do the things that give you joy. Sorry for being on the sad side. It’s really been a very difficult month.

Much love to all! Enjoy your health and be thankful for it each day!

... Read moreMultiple sclerosis (MS) is a complex neurological condition that can significantly impact one's quality of life. Understanding its symptoms—like fatigue, muscle weakness, bladder issues, and cognitive difficulties—can help both those affected by MS and their loved ones navigate through the challenges. Many living with MS often feel isolated due to the unpredictable nature of their symptoms, which can include pain, visual disturbances, and emotional swings. It’s important for those affected to communicate openly about their experiences and seek support from their communities. Engaging in groups specific to MS, such as support forums or online platforms, can provide comfort and practical advice. Moreover, self-care strategies play a crucial role in managing symptoms. Regular physical activity, even in moderate forms, helps maintain strength and flexibility. Mindfulness practices, such as yoga or meditation, can also alleviate stress, which may exacerbate symptoms. Using assistive devices or tools can help people with MS enhance their daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity. As we observe MS Awareness Month, let’s focus on the importance of empathy and understanding towards those with chronic conditions. Together, we can create a supportive environment where individuals feel valued and empowered to share their stories. Remember, being open about our struggles not only helps ourselves but also strengthens the community as we learn from one another.
