Sharing my Signature Style Secret 💫
Calling all Fashion Girly- This is the accessory that changes everything…
If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ve probably noticed these scarves showing up again and again.
They’re Lilly Pulitzer Murfee scarves, and I’ve been collecting them for years.
I love them because they are beautiful & do so much with almost no effort.
✨ They add movement to an outfit.
✨ They soften structured pieces like button-down shirts and sweaters.
✨ They bring in color and a feminine print without feeling overwhelming.
✨ They’re incredibly lightweight, yet surprisingly warm.
✨ They’re soft, never bulky, and they don’t wrinkle easily, making them perfect for travel.
I throw one on with jeans and a white shirt, over a sweater, with a dress, or even on chilly summer evenings.
Sadly, Lilly doesn’t make many of these anymore, but I still hunt for them on ThredUp and eBay whenever I see a print I love. Sometimes they are called Murfee scarves and sometimes just scarves. They are made of 51% silk & a 49% cashmere blend. Incredible quality. The good news is that prices are $25 - $30. The one in the cover slide is a new one I just ordered from ThredUp. Some of them are named after states or cities. Being from North Carolina, that one is my fave 💖but they are all beautiful
These have been in my closet for years as part of my outfit of the day fashion, and I reach for them season after season.
From my personal experience, incorporating Lilly Pulitzer Murfee scarves into my daily wardrobe truly transforms even the simplest outfits into something special. What I love most is how these scarves manage to add elegance without feeling heavy or overwhelming. Their unique silk and cashmere blend gives them a luxurious softness that feels gentle against the skin, making them comfortable for long wear. One of my favorite style hacks with these scarves is using them to soften the look of structured pieces like button-down shirts or blazers. Just a quick knot or loose drape can instantly make an outfit look more relaxed and approachable. Plus, their vibrant prints bring a feminine flair that is perfect for brightening up neutral basics like jeans and plain tees. For travel, these scarves are game-changers. Unlike bulky accessories, they easily fold into a purse without wrinkling or losing their shape. On chilly summer evenings or cool spring days, they provide just enough warmth without overheating. Since Lilly Pulitzer no longer produces many of these Murfee scarves, I’ve become an avid shopper on platforms like ThredUp and eBay, hunting for unique prints – some named after cities or states, which adds a personal touch to my collection. Incorporating these scarves has not only enhanced my style but also simplified dressing habits. They serve as versatile pieces that transition perfectly from casual daywear to evening looks. For anyone looking to add a signature accessory that blends style, comfort, and timeless elegance, these scarves are definitely worth trying.
