Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone Book Review

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, or Philosopher's Stone depending on which version you are reading, tells the story of a young boy who, turns out, is a wizard! After receiving his letter to the most renown wizarding school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, we venture into the wizarding world along with Harry where he meets Ron Weasley, a red-haired boy who comes from one of the “old wizarding families, and Hermonie Granger, an intelligent witch who was raised by Muggles (non-magic folk) like himself. After a break-in occurred at Gringotts, the wizarding bank known for its high levels of security, Harry discovers the only place safer than Gringotts is Hogwarts and that there is more to this break-in than he anticipated.

I seriously can’t tell how many times I’ve read this story. At minimum I read this story once a year but I’ve been known to indulge in the wizarding world more than that on occasions~

So many memories and so much nostalgia are wrapped up in this world and hold such a special place in my heart and those around me.

Having a book series like Harry Potter, getting to watch these characters grow and change throughout the years, it develops such a strong bond and sense of family despite the characters and the world being in fiction. With these stories set into modern day, I often believe magic truly did exist and still do to this day.

When I’m happy, goofy, angry, or sad, I can always turn to the wizarding world and know that Hogwarts will alway be there to welcome me home.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone will always be a five star read for me~ See you all in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets~
