Cozy Home. Uncozy Cat. 🐾
happy Mother’s Day to me apparently because I started my morning by being woken up with a poop nugget falling directly onto my face from my cat Bloom 😭
at first I thought maybe it was an accident…
until I walked downstairs and realized her automatic litter box froze in empty mode overnight 💀
which means this tiny fluffy menace climbed across the top of my headboard and intentionally launched biological warfare before breakfast.
while I was washing my face, my 3-year-old walked in and asked:
“was it funny?”
I said:
“well… kinda.”
he accepted this information immediately and left with absolutely no further questions 😭
honestly? Bloom looked a little proud of herself.

Owning a cat certainly brings plenty of unexpected moments, and not all of them are picture-perfect! From my experience, cats have a knack for turning the most ordinary situations into memorable stories. Just like in this post where Bloom, the sneaky feline, decided to launch a 'biological warfare' surprise, I've witnessed similar moments where my pet’s antics have disrupted a peaceful morning. One key takeaway is to always check your pet’s automatic litter box functionality regularly—technical glitches can quickly translate into chaos, especially overnight. My automatic litter box once jammed, leading to a similar unfortunate incident, though not quite as dramatic. Aside from technology, the behavior of cats climbing onto furniture while seeking attention or out of boredom is common; they often find unique and hilarious places to make their presence known. The humor only deepens when you have little ones watching and reacting to these events. Children’s candid questions like “was it funny?” remind us to find joy in the small, messy moments. Cats, with their quirky personalities and unexpected mischief, certainly keep life interesting. Bloom’s evident pride is something many cat owners recognize—our pets can be both the source of chaos and the bringers of laughter. If you’re a cat owner, it helps to share these stories with fellow pet parents. It’s comforting and amusing to know that you’re not alone in dealing with unpredictable feline behavior. Plus, tips like maintaining litter boxes, providing engaging toys, and creating safe climbing spaces can minimize surprises. In the end, the blend of a cozy home and an uncozy cat creates stories worth telling, and perhaps a little extra patience and humor!
