POV: your brain wants to solve your entire life at 2 AM. 😵‍💫

Meanwhile, God is like… you can rest now. I’ve got it. 🤍

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

You don’t have to understand the whole plan tonight. You don’t need every answer before you close your eyes.

Maybe tonight’s prayer is simply:

God, give me enough peace to sleep. 🤍

Save this for the nights when your brain refuses to clock out. 🫠

7/16 Edited to

... Read moreMany nights, I find myself lying awake, overwhelmed by the constant flood of thoughts trying to solve every problem and plan every detail of my life. It feels like my mind refuses to switch off, causing frustration and anxiety that only deepen the restless sleep. One practice that’s helped me immensely is turning to a simple prayer or meditation focused on peace rather than answers. The verse from Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest,” reminds me that it’s okay not to carry the weight of every worry alone. Sometimes, releasing control and inviting calm can be the best solution. I’ve started keeping a journal by my bed to jot down any pressing thoughts before sleep—giving them a place outside my mind also eases the burden. Saying the prayer “God, give me enough peace to sleep” has become a nightly ritual, signaling to myself that it's time to rest and trust that not everything needs a resolution tonight. This approach doesn’t instantly silence every anxious thought, but it shifts the focus to peace and restfulness, which gradually calms the brain’s 2 AM racing. If your mind is running late with endless plans and pressures, consider this method as a gentle way to reclaim your night and rejuvenate your spirit.
