Weightloss myths to forget about!

There’s so much wrong and misguided information that floats around it’s hard to know what to stand by and what to let go of.

These things were constantly told to me when I first started my weight loss journey a few years ago. Eating after 7-8 is bad for you and makes you gain weight. 😒😒😒 listen it doesn’t matter when you eat it’s all about what and how much you’re eating.

You absolutely can’t spot reduce fat, idc what somebody said or what you saw on social media. I get so many potential clients that always want to know what workouts will help them lose their stomach. The answer is NONE!!! it’s a combination of things but mainly your eating habits and digestive health.

Carbs will not make you gain weight, no one macronutrient can make you fat. Now the overconsumption of certain foods is a different story! Carbs are a great source of fuel especially after an intense workout.

Weightlifting isn’t just for gaining muscle and bulking up. It’s a great tool to aid in weight loss as well, and actually helps continue burning calories/fat long after your workout is over. Weightlifting also helps to sustain your weightloss over a longer period of time as well.

... Read moreIn the world of weightloss, misinformation is rampant. Many people believe that eating after 7 PM contributes to weight gain; however, it's actually the quality and quantity of food that counts most. Spot reduction is another myth often perpetuated by fitness enthusiasts who are eager to slim down specific areas, like the belly. The reality is that overall fat loss comes from a combination of healthy eating and exercise, rather than targeting specific body parts. Furthermore, carbs often get a bad rap, yet they are essential for fueling the body, particularly after workouts. Balance and moderation are key. Weightlifting is frequently misunderstood; it's not solely for building muscle. In fact, it can enhance weightloss by boosting metabolism and burning calories even after your workout concludes, making it a valuable part of any fitness routine. Embrace these truths for a more effective and sustainable weightloss journey.
