3 machines to target your back fat

What we aren’t doing anymore is skipping upperbody! Especially if we want that snatched look and to get a more toned sexy back!

Here are 3 machines that will target those areas and help you achieve your goals. I’m attacking my back twice a week now and these are 3 of the machines that are staples in my routine.

The key is (as always) consistency, so don’t do these expecting to see results in 3 weeks. It didn’t take you 3 weeks to get the big back so don’t expect to work it off that quickly either 😭 lbvs!

Love you tho 😘

... Read moreOkay, girl, listen up! If you're anything like me, you've probably spent way too long feeling self-conscious about back fat or those stubborn love handles. But guess what? We're not doing that anymore! I’m here to share my journey and spill the tea on how I'm building a stronger, more toned back that creates that amazing smaller waist illusion, making me feel so much more confident. The original article touched on my absolute staple machines, and they are game-changers. Let's dive a little deeper into why these specific gym machines – the Lat Pulldown, T-Bar Row, and Cable Machine Pulldowns – are so effective for getting that 'snatched back' look and targeting back fat. They've been crucial for my own body transformation! 1. Lat Pulldown: This machine is a powerhouse for your lats, those big muscles on the sides of your back. When you strengthen and develop your lats, they create a wider upper back, which in turn makes your waist appear smaller. It’s all about creating that V-taper. When I do my lat pulldowns, I focus on pulling the bar down to my upper chest, squeezing my shoulder blades together, and really feeling that muscle contract. Don't just pull with your arms – think about pulling with your back! 2. T-Bar Rows: Oh, the T-Bar Row! This one is fantastic for adding thickness and density to your mid-back. It's a compound movement, meaning it works multiple muscle groups at once, which is super efficient. I love how it targets those muscles that help with posture and really sculpt the area where back fat tends to accumulate. When I'm doing T-bar rows, I keep a slight bend in my knees, hinge at my hips, and pull the weight up towards my chest, again, focusing on squeezing my back muscles. You can really feel your lats and rhomboids working here. 3. Cable Machine Pulldowns (or Rows): The cable machine is incredibly versatile, and I use it for so many variations! For back fat specifically, variations like straight-arm pulldowns or seated cable rows are golden. The constant tension from the cable helps really isolate and work those back muscles, leading to better definition. For straight-arm pulldowns, I stand facing the cable machine, grab a straight bar attachment, and pull it down towards my thighs, keeping my arms mostly straight. For seated rows, I focus on pulling the handle towards my lower abdomen, retracting my shoulder blades. These are great for refining the shape of your back. Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "What if I don't have access to these machines, or I want to switch things up?" Don't worry, I've got you! You can absolutely target back fat and love handles with dumbbells. Some of my favorite back fat exercises with dumbbells include: Bent-Over Dumbbell Rows: Similar to T-bar rows, but using dumbbells allows for more unilateral work (one side at a time) and flexibility. Maintain a bent-over position and pull the dumbbells up towards your hips. Dumbbell Pullovers: While often seen as a chest exercise, dumbbell pullovers are amazing for stretching and working your lats, contributing to that desired back width. Renegade Rows: This is a killer full-body exercise that really engages your core while you're rowing a dumbbell from a plank position. It's tough but so effective for overall strength and stability, which ties into a strong back. Ultimately, tackling back fat and creating a toned, 'snatched' back is about more than just these specific exercises. It's about consistency, as the original article mentioned. It took time to build up that 'big back,' and it will take time to sculpt it down. You won't see results in just three weeks – that's just the reality of fitness! Remember to challenge yourself with progressive overload (gradually increasing weight, reps, or sets), ensure your nutrition is on point to support fat loss, and most importantly, be patient and kind to yourself. Trust me, the transformation is worth it!
