Quick lunch idea for weightloss
Lost on what to prep for next week to keep you on track? Definitely save this for later and check out my other quick meal prep posts. This is my first week back from vacation and I wanted to keep it light while I get myself back on track.
I sauté the shrimp with lemon pepper, obey and garlic powder for about 15 minutes. Wow that was cooking in a separate pan. I had the zucchini and squash sautéing in another pan with the same seasonings and a little bit of avocado oil. I always eat jasmine rice just because I do not like the texture of brown rice. But I cooked the washed rice cover for about 8 to 10 minutes with a little bit of butter, sea salt and pepper.
Everything was ready literally within about 25 minutes or less! What did you mail prep this week?

Hey everyone! Staying consistent with healthy eating, especially after a relaxing break, is absolutely key, and that's where effective meal prepping truly shines. I've found that having delicious, pre-made lunches ready to go makes hitting my calorie deficit goals so much easier. This shrimp and veggie dish I shared is a perfect example of a healthy calorie deficit meal prep that doesn't compromise on flavor or time. It’s become a go-to for me when I need quick calorie deficit lunch ideas. When it comes to making your calorie deficit meal prep containers truly effective, one of my top tips is to invest in good quality containers. Like the glass ones shown in the pictures, they're fantastic for keeping your food fresh and organized, making it super easy to grab a healthy lunch on busy days. Plus, being able to see your meal encourages you to stick to your plan! The clarity of the containers also makes your beautifully prepared sauteed zucchini meal prep container look even more appealing. While I absolutely love shrimp for its quick cooking time and lean protein, don't feel limited by just one option! If you're looking for other low calorie protein ideas, skinless chicken breast or firm tofu are fantastic swaps. Just season and sauté them similarly to how I did the shrimp – lemon pepper, garlic powder, and a dash of Old Bay (or 'obey' as I sometimes call it!) work wonders on almost anything. This flexibility means you can vary your healthy lunch meal prep ideas throughout the week. For the veggies, sautéed zucchini and squash are staples in my kitchen, and they're so versatile! You could also throw in some bell peppers, broccoli florets, or asparagus. The key is to keep them lightly seasoned and cooked until tender-crisp. I sometimes add a splash of low-sodium soy sauce or a squeeze of fresh lime juice at the end for extra zest without piling on calories. These vibrant vegetables not only add flavor but also boost the nutrient content of your healthy calorie deficit meal prep. And about the rice – I'm a jasmine rice fan for its texture, but for those looking to further reduce calories or increase fiber, brown rice or quinoa are excellent alternatives. If you're really aiming for a low calorie option, consider swapping half or all of your rice for cauliflower rice. It's an amazing way to bulk up your meal with more veggies while keeping the carb count down, fitting perfectly into calorie deficit meal prep ideas. To make your healthy lunch meal prep even quicker, try batch-sautéing your protein and veggies at the beginning of the week. You can then portion them out into your meal prep containers along with your cooked rice. This way, you're looking at just minutes to assemble each day. I've also learned that prepping a larger batch means I always have a healthy option readily available, stopping me from reaching for less healthy choices when hunger strikes. It’s all about setting yourself up for success and making healthy eating an enjoyable, sustainable part of your routine!
