Realistic what I eat in a day ✨
Another realistic look into what I eat in a day and somebody who has lost over 130 pounds and actively working on body recomposition. Basically I’m working on losing fat and gaining muscle at the same time while changing the shape and composition of my body.
As you see, I love fajitas and tacos lol I literally make a “chipotle bowl” 2-3 times a week 🔥! That’s one of my favorite foods that I didn’t have to give up while losing weight. I just made simple changes that allowed me to be able to still enjoy it but a better version. Now, when I go to Chili’s, I asked for corn tortillas but normally I don’t use them at all. I just eat the protein and veggies and black beans together to help limit carbs.
What is your go to meal at Chili’s?

When you're aiming for significant weight loss and body recomposition, seeing what someone actually eats in a day can be incredibly motivating and helpful. My journey, losing over 130 pounds, has taught me that "realistic" doesn't mean perfect; it means sustainable, enjoyable, and effective. It's about finding delicious ways to fuel your body for fat loss and muscle gain, just like the "Fatloss edition" journey I'm on. So, what does a truly realistic day of eating look like for someone actively working on body recomposition? It starts with smart choices from the moment you wake up. For breakfast, I love something satisfying yet light, like an egg white quiche paired with fresh sliced strawberries and a small hashbrown. This combination gives me protein, essential vitamins, and a bit of healthy carbs to kickstart my metabolism without feeling heavy. It's proof that you can have classic breakfast items with a healthier twist! Lunch and dinner are where I really get creative with customization, especially when it comes to my favorite flavors. My go-to is a homemade "Chipotle bowl" style meal, which I seriously make 2-3 times a week! This isn't just about throwing ingredients together; it's about building a balanced, flavorful meal. I'll load it up with lean protein like ground turkey or diced chicken, plenty of colorful bell peppers and onions, crisp romaine lettuce, fresh salsa, a dollop of Greek yogurt for creaminess, and a serving of healthy avocado. It’s a complete meal that keeps me full and satisfied, and it’s a brilliant way to enjoy those restaurant-style flavors without the hidden calories. And yes, you can still enjoy eating out! Take Chili's fajitas, for instance. Instead of skipping them entirely, I've learned how to make them work for my goals. When ordering shrimp and chicken fajitas, I'll ask for corn tortillas but often just focus on the sizzling protein and veggies, adding black beans for fiber and extra nutrients. It’s all about making those small, conscious adjustments. This approach allows me to enjoy social meals without feeling deprived or derailing my progress. It’s about balance, not restriction. Beyond the main meals, staying realistic also means acknowledging that cravings happen. The key is to have healthy options readily available. Things like fruit, a handful of nuts, or a protein shake can bridge the gap between meals without undoing your hard work. Hydration is also crucial – drinking plenty of water throughout the day helps with satiety and overall well-being. Ultimately, a realistic eating plan for body recomposition is one you can stick to long-term, enjoying delicious food while consistently moving towards your health and fitness goals. It’s a journey of continuous learning and adapting, making it truly your own.

My go to is the mozzarella sticks and a diet soda 😂
