Pineapple and Coconut Rum

Pineapple and Coconut Rum

Take a fresh pineapple, remove the peel and dice into medium size cubes. Put the diced pineapple into a glass jar (mine filled a 2-quart canning jar) and add coconut rum until the pineapple is completely covered. Keep the jar on your counter and invert it a couple times a day until you are ready to partake. Serve straight up or over ice. And make sure none of that pineapple goes to waste. #pineapple #rum

... Read morePineapple infused with coconut rum offers a tropical flavor combination that can elevate your cocktail experience or be enjoyed on its own. For this infusion, using fresh, ripe pineapple is essential to impart natural sweetness and acidity that balance well with the smooth, creamy notes of coconut rum. Malibu, a popular brand mentioned in the image OCR content as "MALIBU A N RUM IMPORTED NUT," is a well-known imported coconut rum that pairs excellently with pineapple. When preparing the infusion, it is important to use a clean glass jar like a 2-quart canning jar to accommodate the pineapple cubes and rum. Cover the pineapple completely with the rum to prevent spoilage and allow proper soaking. Inverting the jar occasionally helps distribute flavors evenly. This homemade pineapple and coconut rum infusion can be served neat for a pure taste or poured over ice for a refreshing drink. It also provides a rich base for creating tropical cocktails like Piña Coladas or rum punches. Additionally, the infused pineapple pieces can be used to garnish drinks or enjoyed as a flavorful treat. For best results, allow the infusion to sit for at least 3 to 5 days, depending on your preferred intensity of flavor. Store in a cool, dark place during this period. Remember to avoid wasting any pineapple by repurposing it creatively. Lastly, using authentic coconut rum brands ensures a higher quality infusion with well-rounded taste profiles that highlight the unique flavors of both pineapple and coconut.
