... Read moreHey everyone! So many of you have been curious about my hair growth journey, especially after seeing my recent updates. It's truly amazing to look back at how much my dark, curly hair has transformed in just six months! When I first started, my hair was noticeably shorter, and honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect. Patience is truly a virtue when it comes to growing natural hair, and this journey has definitely taught me that. One of the biggest lessons I've learned during these past six months is the importance of consistency, even before I dive into sharing my full hair care routine. For anyone on their own 6-month hair growth journey, I can't stress enough how vital gentle handling is. Curly hair is often fragile, and minimizing manipulation can make a huge difference. I focused on protective styles whenever possible, giving my strands a break from daily styling and tension. Even something as simple as sleeping on a satin pillowcase or using a silk bonnet made a noticeable impact on reducing breakage and retaining length. I also tried to avoid heat styling almost entirely, which I believe really helped my hair flourish and retain its natural curl pattern. Hydration has also been a game-changer. My curly hair thrives on moisture, and I made sure to incorporate deep conditioning treatments regularly – at least once a week. It wasn't about using a million products, but finding what worked best for my hair type and sticking to it. I also tried to pay attention to my diet and water intake, believing that healthy hair starts from within. It’s not just about what you put on your hair, but what you put in your body too. Making small adjustments, like adding more protein and vitamins to my meals, felt like it contributed to the overall health of my strands. Many of you ask, "how much hair growth in 6 months is normal?" And honestly, it varies so much from person to person! But consistently caring for your scalp and ends is key to seeing progress. I made sure to trim my ends only when necessary, focusing on retaining healthy length rather than chasing rapid growth at the expense of hair health. Split ends are the enemy of length retention, so keeping them in check was crucial. Documenting my progress with photos, much like the ones I shared, really kept me motivated. Seeing those 'before and after' moments, from my shorter, curly hair to the longer strands now, is incredibly rewarding. It’s not just about the length, but the improved health and vibrancy of my curls. This 6-month natural hair growth journey has been so insightful, and I can't wait to share more of the specifics in my next post, but consider these my fundamental tips for anyone embarking on their natural hair growth journey. Keep going, the results are worth it!

Quickest way to grow type 4 hair is to wear mini twist on wet/ damp hair not blow dry because water is our moisture and we use products to lock in the moisture (water) also having good routine and DEEP CONDITIONING with heat. i personally wash my hair and deep conditioning Weekly ✨
