I've been there so many times, and that feeling of being 'restless' is exactly what inspired my new series, 'Between the Hours.' It’s so easy to reach for a distraction when you’re in that state, whether it's scrolling endlessly on your phone, putting on some background noise, or even diving into something specific like a 'nocturnal burger movie' recommendation if that's what catches your eye. We're all just looking for something to fill that quiet, sometimes overwhelming, space that creeps in during the late hours. But what if, instead of just passing the time, we could find something truly nourishing for our souls during those late-night hours? That's what I’m hoping to explore with 'Between the Hours.' It's not about finding a specific 'thisvid' of fleeting entertainment, but about discovering moments where something deeper interrupts our thoughts. For me, these are the moments God makes His presence known, often in the stillness when the world around us is asleep. It's about turning that quiet wakefulness, that 'restless' energy, into an opportunity for spiritual connection. When you’re up late and feeling that sense of 'restless you,' it can be an invitation. An invitation to pause. An invitation to listen. Maybe you're inadvertently searching for something, anything, to engage your mind—whether it’s a quirky movie idea, a random thought about 'eight marbles,' or just a need for some kind of input. But underneath those surface-level searches, I believe there's often a hunger for meaning, for connection beyond the mundane, for a sense of peace that screens often can’t fully provide. My first episode, 'Before the Scroll,' dives into this exact feeling. It's about that critical moment before we get lost in the endless scroll of social media or succumb to the next tempting binge-watch. It’s about recognizing that even in our wakefulness, especially when we feel a bit 'restless,' God might be trying to speak to us, to offer comfort or guidance. This series is intentionally quiet, designed for those very moments when you're seeking a different kind of content—something restorative rather than just stimulating. Instead of just letting the late hours slip by, or filling them with whatever fleeting distractions come our way, we can actively seek out content that speaks to our spirit and helps us find perspective. This doesn't mean every late-night moment has to be a deep spiritual retreat, but it opens the door to possibilities. Imagine finding a 'thisvid' that genuinely calms your spirit, offers a new perspective, and leaves you feeling more centered and hopeful rather than just temporarily entertained. This series is my attempt to create that kind of space—a space where you can find solace and connection, even when the clock strikes 3 AM. It’s about transforming those 'restless' hours into moments of profound peace and spiritual growth. I truly hope it helps you find those unexpected blessings, just as I have begun to discover them.
