My first lyric video! 💫

Creating a lyric video is an exciting way to visually express the emotions and stories behind a song's words. In this project, I worked on bringing to life the intriguing words of DeepWise, a unique lyrical style that explores themes of perception, survival, and self-awareness. Lyric videos differ from traditional music videos by focusing on the presentation of the song's words in sync with the music, often enhanced by creative editing techniques that emphasize meaning or mood. This first experience taught me the importance of timing, font choices, and visual effects to maintain viewer engagement while highlighting key phrases like "KNOW THAT I KNOW" and "EVERYBODY JUST GOTTA SURVIVE." DeepWise’s lyrics often contemplate how people act unaware of others’ knowledge or feelings, as seen in lines such as "PEOPLE ACTIN' LIKE I DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY’RE THINKING ABOUT." This inspired me to use subtle animation effects and transparency layers to visually represent hidden emotions and underlying messages, enhancing the song's depth. For anyone interested in creating lyric videos themselves, starting with clear, meaningful lyrics is essential. Tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or even user-friendly platforms such as Canva or InShot can help you animate text and integrate visuals. Remember, the goal is to complement the song, making the viewing experience immersive. Experimenting with color schemes and pacing according to the lyrical mood can create an authentic connection with your audience.
