My Hospital bag as a 2nd time Mom

I way overpacked for my 1st and here are the things I’m

doing for my 2nd baby! The hospital has absolutely everything you might possibly need! Postpartum and anything baby might need can be supplied by the hospital! Take full advantage of that! You are already paying for it so enjoy it! I’m not bringing PP items for myself or anything other than clothes and a few of the burp cloths I prefer for baby! Save all that stuff for when you get home to use. Keep things as easy and stress free for yourself as possible.

One thing I will add, if you plan on breastfeeding or pumping, I would definitely think about bringing one. It helps your milk supply and milk come in. I would highly recommend not using a portable pump for at least the first week or so! Using a wall pump helps empty things and encourages a larger supply!

I hope this helps in any way. I know personal preference will vary person to person but just ideas to think about! Best of luck to the last half of the 2024 mamas♥️♥️

... Read moreAs a second-time mom, packing your hospital bag can be less daunting than the first time. Remember, the hospital provides a lot of essentials, allowing you to focus on comfort and convenience. Include basics like clothes, toiletries, and favorite burp cloths for your baby. For pumping mothers, consider bringing a wall pump; it's more effective for establishing your milk supply compared to portable pumps. This can significantly benefit breastfeeding, ensuring a smooth transition. Don't forget items for your partner as well, such as extra clothes, snacks, and electronics to keep them comfortable during your stay. Also, think about outfits for your new arrival—swaddles, coming-home outfits, and burp cloths are key. Make sure to have pacifiers and a noise machine to help soothe your newborn in the new environment. Personalize this list based on your preferences, keeping in mind that simplicity is key. Good luck with your second journey into motherhood!

we lived so close to the hospital with my first kid that we just took clothes for ourselves and baby, chargers, and my husband had a switch

Heck for my first baby I didn’t even pack a hospital bag 😂 and it was a good thing because my baby was transferred to the NICU and didn’t get to wear anything we got him for 3 months. Then we had to buy snap pjs because he couldn’t wear zip ups
