The three pillars — connection, purpose, and mortality — form a framework through which we can understand ourselves and the world. Connection provides us with a sense of belonging. Whether through friendships, family, or communities, feeling connected is essential for mental and emotional well-being. In my personal experience, investing time in meaningful relationships has been the cornerstone of resilience during challenging times. It encourages empathy and shared understanding, which grounds us in the midst of life's unpredictability. Purpose gives direction and motivation. Discovering what drives us — whether through work, creativity, or helping others — fosters fulfillment and a sense of accomplishment. I’ve found that having goals aligned with my values led to greater satisfaction and clarity, helping me combat feelings of aimlessness. Mortality reminds us of life’s finite nature, prompting reflection on how we choose to spend our time. It can be a source of anxiety, but also inspires appreciation and urgency to live authentically. Accepting this can deepen our engagement with life’s moments and relationships. The interplay of these pillars — meaning created through purpose, nurtured through belonging, and defined by our mortality — forms the logic within the chaos of the human experience. Recognizing this interconnectedness has personally helped me find balance and enrich the quality of my life.
