GIRL TALK: episode five 💛🫧

i hope you guys missed me :) time to get back consistent on here 💕 but let’s have another girl chat!

please all my fellow content creators chime in because i honestly want to know why has it been hard posting on youtube now and days. seems like all everyone wants to do is stream now or people are more into fast content like tikok or reels. like being transparent all my videos would use to hit the 1ks or up now it’s stuck in the hundreds. like why is youtube content falling off badly ? but of course the creators with a huge platform is getting consistent views but for the ones like me that have to work 10x more harder with no help it’s just even harder to get the views and supporters.

anyone else feel this shift ? let’s keep this as a open discussion ! also subscribe to my channel if you haven’t & comment your channel below 💋

The rise of TikTok and Instagram Reels has changed viewer expectations, favoring short, quick, and often viral clips over longer, more traditional YouTube videos. This shift affects creators who’ve relied on steady views and engagement on YouTube, especially those without large platforms or extensive support. Unlike creators with millions of subscribers, smaller YouTubers often have to work much harder to generate views, which can be discouraging when numbers drop from thousands to mere hundreds. The plateau or decline of traditional YouTube content views stems partly from platforms prioritizing newer formats and live streaming, which capture immediate attention in a fast-paced online world. Streaming has become popular because it creates direct interaction between creators and viewers, generating real-time engagement and community building. Short-form video content also benefits from algorithmic boosts that encourage quick consumption, which is less common on YouTube. For content creators aiming to thrive, it’s essential to adapt by diversifying strategies—combining live streams, short clips, and traditional videos. Engaging meaningfully with viewers through comments and collaborations can also strengthen support. Additionally, cross-promoting content on other platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter helps draw attention back to YouTube videos. Ultimately, this evolving landscape calls for creative persistence. While it’s challenging for creators without extensive resources, building a loyal niche audience and participating in open discussions with fellow creators about these trends can offer valuable insights and encouragement.
