STEAK & POTATOES 😋
One of my favorite comfort foods has always been a perfectly cooked steak paired with crispy, golden potatoes. Over the years, I’ve learned that the secret to an irresistible steak and potatoes meal lies in balancing textures and flavors. When cooking steak, choosing the right cut is essential. I often prefer ribeye or sirloin because they offer a great balance of tenderness and flavor. Marinating the steak briefly or seasoning it generously with salt, pepper, and your favorite herbs enhances its taste. For the potatoes, I love to experiment between mashed, roasted, or pan-fried styles. Roasting diced potatoes with a drizzle of olive oil, garlic, and rosemary until golden and crisp adds a delightful contrast to the juicy steak. Cooking the steak to the right doneness is also critical. I usually cook mine to medium-rare, ensuring it stays juicy and tender by searing it over high heat and finishing it in the oven if it's a thicker cut.
