What Does Your Heart Really Look Like?
Recently, I asked God to reveal my heart—and He did. But what He showed me wasn’t easy to face. He revealed that I have areas within me that need work: comparison, low patience, unforgiveness, lust, and more. It was humbling and hard to accept, but it was necessary.
So often, we focus on being a “good person” on the outside. We present ourselves well, treat others kindly, and hear praise like, “You’re such a good person!” But what about the parts of us that people don’t see? The thoughts, struggles, and feelings we keep hidden?
For me, hearing people say good things about me felt nice, but it also created this internal conflict. How can I truly accept their praise when I know the struggles I’m battling on the inside? It’s easy to wear the mask of being “good,” but God doesn’t look at the mask—He looks at the heart.
This journey hasn’t been comfortable, but it’s been freeing. Admitting that I don ’t have it all together allows me to lean on God’s grace and not my own strength. His revelation reminded me that growth starts with honesty. When we allow Him to reveal what’s within, we can surrender it and start the work of becoming whole.
Let this be your reminder: It’s okay to not have it all together. Ask God to reveal your heart. Let Him work in those hidden areas. The journey might be uncomfortable, but it’s where true transformation begins. #christaincontent #JesusChrist #heartposture #healingjourney
