Please tell me I’m not alone
As someone who identifies as an empath, I’ve often noticed that early mornings can feel particularly intense. Scrolling through social feeds at 8:00 AM sometimes feels like diving into a sea of emotions, where every post, comment, or image seems to ripple through me more deeply than they might with others. For me, mornings are a time when my sensitivity to others' feelings can either be a gift or a challenge. On one hand, it allows me to connect profoundly and offer support to friends or family. On the other, it can leave me feeling drained or overwhelmed if I absorb too much negativity or stress. I’ve found that setting gentle boundaries during my morning routine helps—a conscious decision to limit my exposure to social media or emotionally heavy content in that early hour. Incorporating mindfulness practices like deep breathing or journaling also restores a sense of calm and balance. For empaths out there, know you’re not alone in this experience. Many sense the world more intensely at times like 8 AM when the day begins and emotional energy flows freely. Embracing this sensitivity, while protecting your mental space, can turn those early hours into a positive, grounding ritual rather than an emotional overload.
