I named it 30-75 soft challenge, because I decided I was gone see how I would do for 30 days .. & if I did good I will keep going until 75!! these are some of the things that have helped me physically & mentally during my weight loss journey. 🥳🎉 make your own soft or hard challenge and STICK TO IT! The '30 Soft Challenge' is basically a more flexible, sustainable version of those intense 'hard challenges.' Instead of strict, unyielding rules that often lead to burnout, the soft challenge focuses on building positive habits gradually. It's about making healthier choices that you can actually maintain long-term, rather than feeling like a failure if you miss a day. That's why it resonated so much with me! Here are the '30 soft rules' I personally adopted, which were inspired by common guidelines and really worked for me: Physical Health Goals: Move Your Body: I aimed for 10k steps daily and committed to working out most days. It wasn't always a gym session; sometimes it was a long walk or a dance session at home! Hydration is Key: Drinking plenty of water became a non-negotiable. I carried a water bottle everywhere. Nourish Your Body: I focused on eating fruits/veggies with every meal. Cut Back on the 'Extras': This was a big one for me. I made a conscious effort to cut back on alcohol, eating out frequently, snacks between meals, sodas, and even bread. It wasn't about complete deprivation, but about mindful reduction. Mental & Habit Goals: Digital Detox: Reducing social media time significantly boosted my mood and productivity. Prioritize Sleep: Getting more sleep wasn't just a goal; it became a necessity. I noticed a huge difference in my energy levels. Mindfulness: Incorporating daily praying or meditation helped ground me. Learn & Grow: Reading 10 pages or listening to podcasts daily kept my mind engaged. Self-Care Rituals: I dedicated time to practicing makeup or other personal grooming, and generally focused on mental, physical, and emotional self-care. It made me feel pampered and refreshed. The beauty of the 'soft' approach is its adaptability. Life happens, and if you miss a goal one day, you don't throw in the towel. You just pick up where you left off the next day. This flexibility is what makes it feel less daunting than, say, a '30 days hard challenge' or '75 day hard challenge,' which can be overwhelming for many. Now that I've successfully completed my 30 days, I'm actually considering moving on to the '75 soft challenge routine.' It's a longer commitment, 75 days, but with similar principles of building healthy habits. It feels like a natural progression for me to continue this positive momentum. For those curious about a '75 soft diet,' it generally follows the same healthy eating principles – whole foods, plenty of water, and mindful consumption.
