Down 30lbs in 4 months!
Hey Chat 👋🏾
So by no means am I done with my transformation BUT I’m making so much progress and wanted to share with my future group chat.
A little backstory. I’ve always been a slim fit girl my entire life. 4 years ago I had my oldest son and then 2 years ago I had my youngest. And when I tell you my boys did a number on my body. I gave birth at 200lbs fast forward I was walking around no baby in me still 200lbs. Depressed, Insecure, and Confidence just GONE! I’m a Leo baby so this just wasn’t me at all. One day literally I woke up and told myself, “I ain’t doing this no more”. I made the decision to choose me. This is how it went…
1. I walk everyday. The Goal is 10K steps a day. I have 2 little ones so I have to get creative to get my steps in. Most days I wake up earlier than them and get about a mile in. I take them outside on walks or chase them around the park. You’d be surprised how many steps you get just running after your kiddos lol. I park far when going to the grocery store. I make it a habit to NOT try and bring all the groceries in with 1 trip lol the double back steps add up haha. By the end of the night if I haven’t got my goal I will hop back on the treadmill to complete the 10K.
2. This one is pretty simple but lowkey hard. I drink a gallon of water a day. Drinking so much water you won’t have room in your stomach for sodas or other sugary juices. You barely going to be able to finish the gallon the first couple days lol. The first week was tough but after that it’s almost natural. But be warned you’re gonna be pee’n like you pregnant lol. Every time I go pee I tell myself I’m peeing out fat 😂
3. I prioritize protein in every meal. Tbh this is the most difficult for me because when I’m on point with drinking my water I barely be hungry. But I have to make sure I hit my protein goal because it makes sure I keep my muscle and burn fat. Sometimes when I don’t hit at least 100g of protein thru food I’ll drink a protein drink (juice or shake) to make up the difference.
4. I have a sweet tooth like nobody’s business. Like I was really contemplating seeing a therapist about my addiction to sweets. (Yea it’s that bad smh) so I found a way to still get my sweet tooth fix without feeling so guilty and not throwing off my weight give away journey. I get creative and eat snacks/desserts that I’ve incorporated protein into. When I make these protein rice crispy treats I can have 1 square for dessert and it satisfies me.
The most crucial thing I did to accomplish the 30lb drop is stay CONSISTENT. It’s not easy but it’s sooo worth it.
Overall these are little things to do that make massive changes. I’m currently doing a 30 day wall Pilates challenge. Let me know if you want to join me or want to see my before and after transformation. As always don’t be shy say hi 💋
