I’m in a season of rebuilding.
Less rushing.
More intention.
More listening to myself.
Soft power looks like this.
Going through a season of rebuilding can be a deeply rewarding experience, especially when approached with intention and mindfulness. I've found that slowing down and listening closely to my inner voice allows me to realign my actions with my core values. This period of less rushing and more thoughtful engagement has taught me the importance of soft power—not just in leadership, but in everyday relationships. Soft power is rooted in qualities like kindness, honesty, and respect, which resonate deeply within a family or community. For example, the message captured on the wall in my home reminds us: “In this house we are family. Love each other, be happy every day, laugh a lot, respect one another, use kind words, tell the truth, say thank you, never give up, keep your promises, and be positive and grateful.” These principles are simple, yet powerful guides that foster a nurturing and supportive environment. In my experience, adopting these values requires conscious effort and resilience. It's about creating space for real connections, offering sincere apologies when necessary, and celebrating small victories. This shift toward soft power transforms challenges into growth opportunities, helping us rebuild stronger foundations both within ourselves and with those around us. I encourage anyone navigating a similar season to embrace the mindset of slowing down and listening more. Prioritize gentle strength over forceful control, and notice how intentional actions rooted in authenticity can lead to profound personal and relational transformation. Soft power isn’t just a concept—it's a way of life that cultivates peace, understanding, and lasting bonds.
