Early on, I struggled with technical aspects like flash usage, which is a crucial skill for capturing stunning wedding moments indoors or in low light. Over time, experimenting around waterside locations and incorporating Americana themes helped me develop a distinctive style that resonates with many couples. One memorable experience was photographing at the Hillcrest Motel and near vintage Airstream trailers, which added character to the wedding narratives. These locations became motifs I returned to because they brought an authentic and nostalgic feel to my shots. I found that revisiting my 2016 work gave me clear perspective on how much I've improved—not just technically but also in storytelling and client connection. Consistently tagging my work with community and location-specific hashtags like #weddingphotographer, #huntsvillealabama, and #tennesseeweddingphotographer helped me connect with like-minded creatives and potential clients in these regions. For aspiring photographers, my advice is to embrace your early imperfections because they are stepping stones.
