Beach Day Bogg Bag with a dog

Now that we live at the beach, a lot of beach days are in our future. We are going for a few hours after work, so here’s what I packed my dog and I for our beach trip today!

- water: I took a Simply cup and Sebastian’s Springer Growler with ice in them to stay hydrated

- toy and treats: I’ll end up with more toys probably, but I’m also taking treats because I’m hoping to do some training. Sebastian has some impulse control/overexcitement when it comes to the beach, so I’m hoping to do some training before letting him hit the water

- dog shoes: if the sand is too hot for your feet, it’s too hot for your pup’s too

- Ryobi fan: to help cool down

- towels

To ensure a successful day at the shore, consider bringing along essential gear like dog water bottles, comfortable beach shoes for your pet, and quick-dry towels for afterward. Staying hydrated is crucial; fill a portable water bowl for your furry friend, as they can get thirsty under the sun. Opt for durable toys that can withstand sand and water, which will keep your pet engaged and entertained. Training your dog during these outings can also be beneficial. Use treats to reinforce good behavior, especially if your dog gets overly excited near water or other beachgoers. Make sure your dog has a shade spot or a cooling fan if they start to overheat. Checking sand temperature is vital too; if it's too hot for your feet, it's too hot for their paws. Lastly, always keep a first aid kit handy for any potential scrapes or injuries. By preparing thoughtfully, both you and your dog can have a memorable beach experience together. Happy beaching!
