... Read moreIt's been such an incredible journey, and I'm thrilled to finally share the first book in my Weather Court Gem series, 'Of Snow and Sapphire,' with all of you! I remember a year ago, the idea for this romantasy series first sparked while I was just rambling thoughts into my notes app. It felt like a whisper of a new world, a vision of different couples facing unique challenges under the watchful eyes of the Weather Gods. From those initial ramblings, the concept really started to take shape. I poured over creating a concept moodboard, fleshing out the intricate court intrigue and the magic system where snow and ice powers are central. Each book in the series is designed to focus on a different couple, navigating their own impossible romance, but all tied together by the overarching challenge of 'the Undertaking'—a crucial test from those powerful Weather Gods. 'Of Snow and Sapphire' introduces you to a captivating queen and her steadfast captain of the guard. I truly adored weaving in the classic childhood friends to lovers trope, adding layers of history and mutual pining that just makes the 'spice' feel even more earned. The angst in their story felt so real to write, as they grapple with duties, desires, and the very structure of their ice-bound court. I wanted to craft a narrative where the stakes are high, not just for the characters emotionally, but for their entire kingdom. This novel is available now on Kindle Unlimited, making it super accessible for anyone eager to dive into a new fantasy romance. And for those who love the feel of a physical book, 'Of Snow and Sapphire' is also out in paperback! It’s been an amazing experience bringing this world to life, from the initial spark of an idea to holding the first one in my hands. I hope you enjoy venturing into this frosty world of magic, love, and dangerous secrets as much as I enjoyed creating it. Let me know what you think when you pick up your copy!
