Real Food Meal Plan for the Week – June 2 to 8

Planning meals for a neurodivergent family doesn’t have to be complicated—it just takes intention.

Here’s how I’m feeding my autistic son, toddler, and myself this week:

🍳 Breakfasts: Waffles, bacon, hashbrowns, toast, pancakes

🥪 Lunches: Quesadillas, PB&J, grilled cheese, ham roll-ups

🍽️ Dinners: Spaghetti with homemade bread, pizza night, yellow rice & chicken, pork chops & cornbread

Every meal is planned to reduce stress, support gut health, and avoid processed ingredients. I batch-plan in under 30 minutes—and it saves us so much time and energy.

📌 Save this if you need meal ideas for your own family

To ensure a smoother week, consider incorporating foods that cater to sensory preferences while still being nutritious. For example, start your day with kid-approved breakfast options like pancakes and bacon, or hashbrowns and waffles. These choices are not only delicious but also use real ingredients that avoid artificial additives. For lunches, pair comfort with nutrition by serving up quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches, or classic PB&J, which can be customized to include various fillings based on dietary needs. Dinners should focus on healing meals made with love, like homemade yellow rice with chicken or a pizza night. These meals can be prepared in bulk, saving both time and energy. Batch planning your meals in under 30 minutes is entirely possible! Dedicate Saturdays to planning and Sundays for grocery shopping, followed by meal prep cooking during the week. This rhythm not only saves time but also supports family health and well-being. Remember to engage with your family during meals and incorporate their preferences. Lastly, don't forget to offer a printable version of your meal plan for easy reference. Adjust meals as necessary to accommodate sensory needs to create an inclusive environment for all family members.
