Prosecuting Cambodia on a global stage
Mr. Jirayu Hoang, the spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that at the 31st / 2025 Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, orders were made by Mr. Phumtham Wechjai, Deputy Prime Minister, and the Acting Prime Minister of the Interior:
The prosecution of the Cambodian shooting attack on Thailand caused loss to life - property of the people.
- Let the Office of the National Security Council (NSH) be the lead agency, together with the relevant authorities, to prosecute criminal and civil commanders and related persons, both domestic and global, to punish offenders and to claim damages for such acts.

- Let security agencies expedite the recovery of explosives still remaining in the area.
- Let the Civil Aviation Authority A. Transport, together with the Security Department, tighten the flight "drone." If the offence is found, prosecute immediately.
- Let the Department of the Interior, together with the Agency and the military, assess the situation and communicate accurate information so that people can gradually return safely to their domicile.
Defense - Solve Fake News
- Let all agencies campaign for the public to receive the message with caution and check the information before forwarding it.
- Let government agencies, especially security agencies, assign news followers at all times to clarify and respond to Fake News in a timely manner.
- Let A.D. Digital set up a social media news monitoring and analysis committee, follow Fake News at home and abroad, along with coordinate the National Police Agency, implement the law in case of need.
The meeting informed the results of the special cabinet meeting (Aug. 68), which was urgently needed:
1. Draft Joint Declaration on the U.S.-Thailand Trade-Compensation Framework
2. Rescuing citizens and government officials killed in the Thai and Cambodian clashes

เหตุการณ์ความขัดแย้งระหว่างชายแดนไทย-กัมพูชาที่เกิดขึ้นเมื่อเร็วๆ นี้ไม่เพียงแต่สร้างความเสียหายต่อชีวิตและทรัพย์สินของประชาชนเท่านั้น แต่ยังส่งผลกระทบต่อความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศและความมั่นคงแห่งชาติอย่างลึกซึ้ง ดังนั้นการดำเนินคดีในเวทีระดับโลกเพื่อจัดการกับผู้สั่งการและผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องจึงเป็นหนึ่งในแนวทางสำคัญที่จะชี้ให้เห็นถึงความเด็ดขาดของประเทศไทยในการรักษาความสงบและความยุติธรรมในพื้นที่ชายแดน หน่วยงานสำคัญอย่างสำนักงานสภาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติ (สมช.) ได้รับมอบหมายให้เป็นศูนย์กลางในการสั่งการและประสานงานร่วมกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องทั้งภายในประเทศและต่างประเทศ เพื่อยกร่างและดําเนินคดีทางอาญาและแพ่งเพื่อเรียกร้องค่าเสียหาย รวมถึงนำตัวผู้กระทำผิดเข้าสู่กระบวนการยุติธรรมอย่างเต็มรูปแบบ ในขณะเดียวกัน การเก็บกู้วัตถุระเบิดยังคงเป็นความท้าทายสำคัญที่ต้องรีบดำเนินการเพื่อความปลอดภัยของชุมชนบริเวณชายแดน ทั้งนี้เจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายความมั่นคงยังเพิ่มความเข้มงวดในการรักษาความปลอดภัยทางอากาศ โดยเฉพาะการควบคุมการบินของโดรนที่อาจมีการกระทำผิดกฎหมาย ซึ่งจะมีบทลงโทษทันทีหากพบการละเมิด อีกส่วนหนึ่งที่เป็นหัวใจในการแก้ไขปัญหาคือการสื่อสารและสร้างความรู้ความเข้าใจแก่ประชาชนเกี่ยวกับการป้องกันและแก้ไขข่าวปลอม (Fake News) อย่างจริงจัง เพื่อป้องกันความเข้าใจผิดและการแพร่กระจายของข้อมูลเท็จที่อาจส่งผลกระทบต่อความพร้อมและความมั่นคงของประเทศ รัฐบาลจึงได้ตั้งคณะกรรมการตรวจสอบข่าวสารบนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์และติดตามข่าวทั้งในและต่างประเทศอย่างต่อเนื่อง พร้อมดำเนินมาตรการทางกฎหมายหากมีการฝ่าฝืน ประเด็นสำคัญที่ประชุม ครม. ยังรวมไปถึงการร่างแถลงการณ์ร่วมเกี่ยวกับกรอบการค้าต่างตอบแทนระหว่างสหรัฐฯ-ไทย พร้อมทั้งกำหนดมาตรการช่วยเหลือและเยียวยาผู้เสียชีวิตและผู้ได้รับผลกระทบจากเหตุการณ์นี้อย่างทันท่วงที ทั้งนี้เพื่อแสดงถึงความเป็นเอกภาพของรัฐบาลในการจัดการกับความขัดแย้งและความเสียหายที่เกิดขึ้นอย่างรัดกุม ดังนั้น การดำเนินคดีระดับสากลในกรณีความขัดแย้งชายแดนไทย-กัมพูชา ถือเป็นการแสดงถึงความมุ่งมั่นของประเทศไทยในการรักษากฎหมายและความยุติธรรม รวมถึงการยกระดับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศและสร้างมาตรฐานความปลอดภัยที่เข้มงวดเพื่อสังคมที่สงบสุขและมั่นคงในอนาคต
