Four hot factors on the Thai-Cambodian border and the opening of the checkpoint.

Warning of the situation, the Thai-Cambodian border is also strained by many sides of the dispute and pressure, advises the new government to take the opportunity to proactively impose conditions, along with handling disputed areas and security, before deciding to open border checkpoints.
By analyzing the Thai-Cambodian border situation, the current problem is based on four main factors to solve simultaneously:
1. A territorial dispute with a long history and not yet settled.
2. Arable and arable areas in the disputed region, especially Chanthaburi-Trad
3. Nationalism is used to drive politics on both sides.
4. Relationships between leaders, who often change their position after the change of government.
According to Dr. Panthan, Cambodia often uses "Fried Maitreya" tactics to push the opening of the checkpoint, but if Thailand does not respond, it will create pressure, such as drone flight or encroachment on the area, warning that opening the checkpoint without clear conditions may disadvantage Thailand, although Thailand currently has higher bargaining power.
It is proposed that the new government should impose "proactive conditions" before negotiating the opening of checkpoints, such as the withdrawal of Cambodian troops from the disputed area, the completion of mine recovery, and the organization of border areas, which should be implemented as a "package" within the first three months:
- Month 1, sign agreement and begin demobilization.
- Month 2, define the area and accelerate the recovery of thousands of mines.
- The third month opened a humanitarian area. Establish an immigrant camp on the Cambodian side.
The fourth month, therefore, opens conditional checkpoints, provides only essential goods first, and delays industrial goods to reduce strategic risks.
Dr. Phan emphasized that international politics is many times more complicated than internal politics. Thailand must be "game-prone" and not too considerate, warning that if the new government does not manage the situation within four months, public expectations may turn to disappointment and affect future political stability.
