The State of Palestine is the Solitary Way, Hamas.
French President Emanuel Macron gave an interview to Israeli television channel Channel 12 on Thursday, stating that the official recognition of the Palestinian state is "the best way to isolate Hamas," while expressing concern for Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.
"To assure the State of Palestine is to express the position that the rights and suffering of the Palestinian people should not be tied to Hamas," Makron said.
France and Britain are among several Western countries preparing to adopt the State of Palestine at this month's UN General Assembly, aiming to push Hamas out of the political arena and regain a two-state solution, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to stance against.
Macron warns that as groups of Israeli settlers continue to advance in the West Bank, time is running out. "This is the last moment before the two-state proposal becomes completely impossible."
On the same day, the Israeli army launched a major land offensive in Gaza City as part of a two-year ongoing operation following an October 2023 Hamas attack that killed more than 1,219 people.
The Israeli response has already resulted in at least 65,141 deaths in Gaza, most of them civilians, according to the Ministry of Health in areas recognized as reliable by the United Nations.
"Operations in Gaza like this are not only ineffective, but also considered a failure." "You are destroying Israel's image and credibility, not just in the region, but in the eyes of the peoples of the world," Makron said.
