According to the professor, the ministry will cooperate with all sectors to promote Thai tourism, focusing on bringing Chinese tourists back to the pre-Covid period and enhancing safety measures during travel.
The Tourist Police prepares throughout the tourist season by opening a 1155 24-hour call center and the Thailand Tourist Police application supports 8 languages with notifications, inquiries and SOS buttons, connecting call centers across the country.
In addition, an AI Detect system, face scanning, linking warrants from the National Police Agency, is used to monitor suspected individuals and provide comparative statistics on tourist-related crimes, with publicity on safe areas across the country.
The operation will be integrated in partnership with the Department of Tourism, the Travel Police Headquarters, the Visitor Assistance Centre and the TAC Liaison Centre, with a total of 274 officers covering 79 spots across the country, accommodating tourism and late-year C Games.
