At the end of the Thai-Cambodian border, Thai people expressed their love for unity and sacrifice for the nation in many ways. One of the things that was evident was the donation of support for soldiers in front of the line, but shortly after the incident, there was a point in this regard. I, as the commander who was given the responsibility of the maintenance task to the soldiers in front of the line, would like to say to the society:
1. The military is allocated an annual budget like other agencies. Proposed budget support requires a two-year advance plan / project. Contributed budget is already specified as to what to apply for the approved plan / project, most of which is the manpower budget. The ordnance development / procurement budget is a minority.
2. Thailand-Cambodia border incident. The situation developed very quickly. We did not expect a battle. Therefore, some equipment or development needed, we did not set a budget. When the incident occurred, resources needed to be mobilized urgently. The federal budget was provided, but the process took 3-6 months. With the patriotic mind of the Thai brothers and sisters, we offered a lot of unrequested support.
3. I am in front of the job is coordinated by all my brothers and sisters. The first question is: What do the soldiers lack? They want to help. Most of them need small personal items, such as socks, underwear, T-shirts in mosquito repellent, cigarettes, soap / toothpaste, bottled water, dry food. Because we are moving to take control of the area according to the 1: 50,000 map we adhere to. Many areas have to set up new bases, the road is inaccessible, water / food is difficult to deliver, clothes are not washed, food is difficult to deliver, some bases have to walk down from him to get food for 2-3 hours a day. Dry food is necessary, which is typical of military operations.
4. When setting up a new base, the road is inaccessible, it is necessary to cut the road urgently to send the force, the government budget to build the road is not set. The middle budget takes time. Thai people know, they want to donate money to the sailors to cut the road for the soldiers in front of the military. We do not want to receive money for trouble. It is necessary to accept oil or materials. Or any line that is safe, private people can make it, ask to come to make it. Therefore, there are villagers, foundations, monks to help make roads for the soldiers in many areas.
5. Modern combat requires technology, use drones, use surveillance cameras, annual budget is not set or set aside, but not enough. There is a private sector that wants to donate to us, but it is owned. It may be civilian drones to modify the lack of security, but we come up with auxiliary security measures, better than no countermeasures against opponents who will be more disadvantaged in combat.
6. Car, Vehicle, Bunker, Tire (Urgent Bunker) Thai people want to donate, we accept as a non-payment item. Which area is safe, you can help, we facilitate
7. Everything happens fast. The task page needs to solve the problem at the front of the task to provide manpower, convenience, safety. The goal is to achieve the task first. Control the donation register / distribution register, we try to prepare, but it is not very complete. Sometimes the delivery is coordinated at the front of the line to provide the unit with the fastest supplies. Sometimes the donors are in the area, it matches the soldiers in front of the line known to deliver the items directly to each other without the northern unit knowing. But at the end of the battle, we try to prepare a control account to control the items received to ensure transparency.
8. Where you brought the donation from, we do not know. But that is the kindness of the nation. I visited the soldiers at the front of the line, always telling them that we are not alone defending the land of Thailand. The Thai brothers are our support for the whole nation. Although they cannot help us fight, they send things to help us instead, so we must do our utmost as representatives of the whole nation.
The truth is only this. Love and unity do not doubt each other for our Thai nation.
