On Nov 5, 2025, General Woryse Sawan, Chief of the 1st Army, ordered the 1st Army Division by the Burapa Force to carry out a mission to intercept illegal entry-out of the country in all its forms, with control of the closure of all checkpoints and border crossings in the Thai-Cambodian border area.
The area encompasses three permanent border crossings: Deep Canal House, Nong Aian and Khao Din House checkpoints, as well as two commercial relief points: Ban Ta Phraya and Ban Nong Prue checkpoints, with military and immigration officials maintaining normal duties and closing the crossing lanes in all cases.
Task Forces 11, 12 and 13, together with security agencies, set up checkpoints / extraction points in the Ta Phraya, High Khok, Aran Pradesh, and Canal Beach areas, as well as organize 24-hour monitoring patrols on natural channels and vulnerable areas to prevent wrongdoing.
From 1 Oct 2025 to date, there have been over 572 arrests of smugglers, divided into 211 Thais, 254 Cambodians and 58 other nationalities, in coordination with the administrative and police departments.
Gen. Vruis instructed the Burpa forces to remain strict in all dimensions of border security measures, commanding all units to prepare carefully and concisely for any situation.
