On December 20, 2025, Navy spokesman Rear Admiral Parasch Ratchaiyanth revealed that the Navy, with the Chanthaburi and Trat Border Protection Command, has successfully taken control and reoccupied the area of Tha Tha Tha Tha Tha Rai District, Trat District, including the building area, the Tom Dada Casino, after detecting that Cambodian troops have smuggled strongholds into the area.
As a result of the operation, the Cambodian side was found to have used the casino building as a command post; additions were made to both snipers, area control points and unmanned anti-aircraft control and anti-aircraft operations sections (drones) and strengthened the surrounding stronghold, which was considered an act that affected Thailand's security and sovereignty.
Regulating this area, the Marine Corps has closely integrated forces with the Air Force under a rigorous, prudent and critical plan for the safety of troops and people, resulting in complete control of the situation and capture of the target area without any civilian impact. The Thai side has no loss or injury, and has been able to inspect a number of opposing armaments, which are under review and collected as evidence according to military procedures and relevant legislation.
The Navy confirms that the operation is to protect national sovereignty, maintain stability along the border, and adhere to international law, with the request for public cooperation, follow news from official sources, and refrain from disseminating information that may affect national security.
