New Hobby! Vintage cassette tapes 🔉
Recently I’ve been getting into the idea of finding cool and unique cassette tapes. I have always been a collector of physical media with cd’s 💿 and vinyl but I never branched out into cassettes because they were a little bit before my time. I bought a cheap little portable cassette player so I can take a couple tapes with me to listen when I have a picnic, sit in the park or go to the beach to unplug from my phone and be present in the moment.
The best places I’ve been finding cassettes have been record stores, thrift stores and sometimes goodwill will have a small selection of tapes!
With collecting anything it has to be of something that interests you. Today it is so easy to stream a song from your phone or computer or listen to the radio in your car but the act of listening to a full album can be lost so that’s why it’s been fun playing around with cassettes and tapes.
