Hey everyone! I just got back from my first trip to Chicago, and oh boy, I'm already itching to return! Being a previous Boston girl who practically lived in New York City every weekend, Chicago felt like a refreshing yet familiar embrace of urban excitement.
Let me start by saying, Chicago is phenomenal! Did you know it's home to the world's first skyscraper? The city is a blend of architectural marvels and green spaces. Speaking of green, the parks here are a must-see. I visited Crown Fountain and Millennium Park, and even though Cloud Gate (aka The Bean) was under renovation, its iconic presence was unmissable. Chicago's fountains, like Buckingham Fountain, are not just beautiful but steeped in history - truly a sight to behold!

Now, let’s talk about the food - a heavenly chapter in my Chicago story. As an Italian food aficionado, I was in bliss. But the real star? The pizza! As a New Yorker at heart, I was skeptical, but Chicago’s deep-dish pizza might just have stolen a pizza my heart. 🤗 It's a culinary masterpiece that left me torn between my loyalty to New York's thin crust and Chicago's cheesy, saucy delight.
