Museum of ICE CREAM 🍦& OOTD 💕

Hey lovelies! 💕✨

Just wanted to sprinkle some sweetness on your day with a throwback to my dreamy day at The Museum of Ice Cream in Austin, Texas! 🍦🌸 Being a Houston gal, I decided to take a mini road trip to Austin - just a breezy 3-hour drive. 🚗💨

Flashback to 2022, my first taste of this magical world! 🍨🎉 And guess what? I'm planning a summer comeback because I heard the exhibits have a sprinkle of newness. 🌈🌟

Now, let's chat outfit because, let's be real, that's half the fun! 😄 I went for a pink ensemble to twin with the museum's aesthetic (those who know, know 😉). I paired my fave light wash denim mom jeans from Zara with a cute racer crop pink top from Target. 🛍️💖 Comfort meets chic with my trusty Nike Air Max sneakers - perfect for museum explorations. 👟💁‍♀️

The museum is a bright paradise that's hard to miss! 🏰🍬 The moment you step in, you're welcomed with an ice cream pop - talk about a sweet entrance! 🍦🎈 Each room is a new adventure, brimming with more ice cream than you can imagine. Pro tip: Skip lunch, you'll want to savor every flavor! 🥄😋

I chose a weekday for fewer crowds, embracing my inner big kid! 🌟🤸‍♀️ From diving into the history of ice cream to discovering global flavors, it's a creamy journey! 🌍🍦 And for those playful moments, there are yard games and a charming gift shop with ice cream-scented candles. 🕯️

For my fellow grown-ups, they've got us covered with chic cocktails. 🍸✨ It's a spot that sweetly balances fun for all ages. And hey, they even host events - perfect for my next big work gig! 💼🍨

Austin friends, add this to your must-visit list! 📝💕 And a little birdie told me Boston's getting its own scoop of fun soon - can't wait! 🎉💗

Till next time, keep life sweet! 🌈🍦

... Read moreHey lovelies! Since I loved my trip to the Museum of Ice Cream Austin so much, I wanted to share even more details and practical tips to help you plan your own sweet adventure! Diving Deeper into the Interactive Fun & Photo Ops One thing I absolutely adored about the Museum of Ice Cream in Austin is just how interactive everything is! It's not just about looking; it's about playing and immersing yourself. Of course, everyone talks about the famous sprinkle pool, and it absolutely lives up to the hype. Diving in (or carefully stepping, depending on your style!) feels like being a kid again. Trust me, you'll want to get some epic photos here – just be prepared for sprinkles to cling to everything for a bit! Another highlight for me was the iconic banana room. You know, the one with all the pink and yellow hanging bananas? It's even more whimsical in person and provides the perfect backdrop for those playful, colorful shots. Each room feels like it's designed to be a unique photo opportunity, from the giant ice cream cones to the vibrant archways and even the pink jukebox. Don't be shy; embrace the fun and strike a pose – it’s encouraged! Beyond the Insta-worthy spots, I also loved the more subtle interactive elements, like learning about the history of ice cream in unexpected ways or sampling unique flavors. It truly is a multi-sensory experience that goes beyond just pretty aesthetics. Essential Tips for Your Museum of Ice Cream Austin Visit Booking Tickets: My biggest tip? Book your tickets online in advance! This isn't a place you can usually just walk into, especially on weekends. Choosing a weekday, as I did, definitely helped me avoid queues and enjoy the exhibits more peacefully. Check their official website for current pricing and availability for the Austin, Texas location. What to Wear (Beyond the OOTD): While I definitely planned my pink crop top and mom jeans for the perfect OOTD, remember to wear comfortable shoes. You'll be on your feet exploring multiple themed rooms, interacting with exhibits, and perhaps even dancing a little! Also, consider something light – it can get a bit warm inside with all the excitement and crowds. Time Allotment: I'd suggest setting aside at least 1.5 to 2 hours to fully enjoy everything without feeling rushed. There's so much to see, taste, and photograph! Food & Drinks: They do offer complimentary ice cream samples, which are delicious and vary! But if you're planning on staying longer or want more substantial treats, they also have a cafe/bar area with chic cocktails for the grown-ups and other sweets. Remember my pro-tip: you might want to skip lunch if you plan to savor every flavor offered inside! Parking: If you're driving, like I was from Houston, plan for parking in downtown Austin. There are usually paid garages or street parking options nearby, but they can fill up quickly, especially on busy days. My Honest Take: Is MOIC Austin Worth It? After my visit, I can confidently say the Museum of Ice Cream Austin is a fantastic experience, especially if you love bright colors, sweet treats, and interactive fun. It’s perfect for a girls' day out, a unique date, or even a family outing – truly fun for all ages. The vibrant pink exterior is just a taste of the joyful atmosphere inside. While it might seem like just a photo op museum, it genuinely offers an escape into a whimsical, sugary wonderland. If you're looking for something unique and memorable to do in Austin, Texas, I highly recommend adding this to your list!
